asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in Cork city and in view of the job creation possibilities involved if he will give priority in this case.

The provision of service in this case is dependent on the availability of the necessary cable. It is not possible at present to say when exactly the cable can be provided but the application is being accorded priority and the applicant will be informed shortly when he may expect service.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a person (details supplied) in Cork city and if in view of the medical circumstances priority will be given to this application.

It is expected that service will be provided late next year. My Department are not aware of any special circumstances that would warrant treating this application as a priority one.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he has satisfied himself with the progress on the building of the new telephone exchange at Naas, County Kildare, and the expected date of completion.

The Office of Public Works have advised that completion of the building in question was delayed because of the inclement weather during last winter and other unforeseen circumstances outside the control of the builder. Completion is expected by end March 1980.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone service will be provided for a company (details supplied) in County Monaghan.

This company have service at present on three lines connected to Clones exchange, and have applied for further auxiliary and out-of-area lines. Some additional lines can now be provided. As it takes somewhat longer to provide out-of-area lines than lines from the local exchange, the company are being consulted in the matter.
