A review of the various issues arising in relation to private rented accommodation, including the working of the Rent Restrictions Acts, 1960 and 1967, has been carried out under the auspices of the Department of the Environment. This involves, among other things, an assessment of the operation of the Rent Acts, and I understand that the Minister for the Environment expects shortly to be in a position to make a submission to the Government in regard to the matter. In the circumstances, I am not in a position to make any further comment at this stage.
