asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that the primary school at Marley Grange, Rathfarnham, Dublin is about to reach fourth class and that no plan for the provision of a secondary school for the parish has been published to date, and if he will make a statement on his plans to provide secondary facilities when required in three years' time.

asked the Minister for Education the existing plans for the provision of post-primary school facilities for the children due to leave Marley Grange national school, County Dublin over the coming years and the schedule he envisages for the building of a secondary school in the area.

asked the Minister for Education the plans, if any, for the building of a new post-primary school in Marley Grange, Dublin or in the immediate vicinity, if so, when the new school will be ready to accept pupils and the form of management it will have.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I will take Questions Nos. 316, 317 and 318 together.

Negotiations for the purchase of a site for a new second-level school to serve the Marley area have commenced. A decision has not yet been taken regarding the date from which the school should be available for the acceptance of pupils or the management structure of the school.

The matter is being kept under review in the context of the development of the general area.
