The annual report and accounts of Bord Gáis Eireann for the period ended 31 December 1978 were submitted on 14 December 1979. The Department of Energy was established under orders made by the Government on 21 and 22 January 1980.
Would the Minister indicate when the report will be made available? I think I am right in saying that it has not yet been published.
I do not think the Deputy is correct in his assumption. I am almost positive that it has been published and circulated to Deputies.
When does the Minister expect that the 1979 report will be available?
I do not anticipate any undue delay in regard to the latter report.
The report was a year late last year.
Yes. There were special factors leading to that, but there is no reason to anticipate that the accounts for 1979 will be unduly delayed.
