This school was established in 1956 to cater for profoundly deaf boys under the age of ten years. Since the number of hearing-impaired children tends to be static, the school could expand in the matter of number of pupils only at expense of the other schools for the hearing-impaired. Consultations have taken place in relation to this matter but to date no agreement has been reached.
