asked the Minister for Education if he will make a statement on the holding of teacher-parent meetings in school hours and if he intends to change the present arrangements.

4.
The making of arrangements for teacher-parent meetings is primarily a matter for school authorities, and my Department has not prescribed any regulations in that regard. I am not generally made aware of the arrangements which may apply in the case of an individual school.
Is the Minister aware of the situation where teacher-parent meetings are held within school hours and classes have to be postponed, adjourned or abandoned? Is he in favour of the system where these teacher-parent meetings are carried on in school hours?
No, I am not so aware. I have no official knowledge of this being the case.
