The cost of the 25 inch ordnance survey map in June 1977 was £4.30. The current price for this map is £8.00. The increases approved since June 1977 were based on recommendations of the National Prices Commission after detailed consideration had been given to price increase applications submitted by the Ordnance Survey Office. I am satisfied that the price increases approved were fully justified on the basis of the increased costs incurred by the Ordnance Survey Office.
