CIE have submitted proposals for capital expenditure in relation to the acquisition of new mainline rolling stock and for the development by the board of a coach assembly operation at Inchicore. A decision on the precise plans is awaiting the outcome of the McKinsey study of CIE and Government decisions thereon.
