I have not received such a request. An inquiry was made by Kildare County Council in 1979 about the possibility of a special allocation being made under the local improvements scheme towards the provision of a new aqueduct at Derrymullen. The council were informed that such a project would not meet the conditions of the local improvements scheme which, in any event, does not provide for the making of special grants.
