asked the Minister for Finance if the Office of Public Works will make arrangements to provide a bigger bridge opening near Dunne's House, Balrath, Bracklyn, Mullingar, County Westmeath, in an effort to relieve the serious flooding there which has been caused by the fitting of small pipes in the first instance at too high a level.

The bridge referred to is at present the subject of a detailed investigation to determine whether, in fact, improvements requested could be justified. The Deputy will be informed of the outcome of this investigation as soon as possible.
