Vol. 334 No. 1

Written Answers. - Enniscorthy, (Wexford) Hospitals Extensions.

565.

asked the Minister for Health when the project team will be set up for the purposes of building the 100 bed unit at St. John's Hospital, Enniscorthy, County Wexford.

The provision of this unit is a matter for the South-Eastern Health Board in the first instance. As the board, owing to the existing financial restraints, has had to give priority to other projects in its area, it would not be appropriate at present to set up a project team for the above mentioned project.

566.

asked the Minister for Health when the building of the extension at St. Senan's Hospital, Enniscorthy, County Wexford, will commence.

No extension to this hospital is being planned at present. In 1979 the South Eastern Health Board prepared initial proposals for integrated dining facilities, stores facilities and new laundry at St. Senan's Hospital but these proposals have not been pursued by the health board.
