asked the Minister for Justice the number of district court barring summonses issued in the year ended 31 July 1981 for the hearing of barring proceedings (a) in and (b) outside the Dublin Metropolitan District Court area.
With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 299 and 300 together.
As my predecessor informed the Deputy by letter dated 29 January 1982, the number of summonses for maintenance orders or for variation of an existing maintenance order issued in the year ended 31 July 1981 in the Dublin Metropolitan District was 721 and the number issued outside the Dublin Metropolitan District was 1,987.
The number of summonses for barring orders issued in the year ended 31 July 1981 in the Dublin Metropolitan District was 599 and the number issued outside the Dublin Metropolitan District was 1,626.
