asked the Minister for Education (i) the number and (ii) the names of the clubs in County Clare which applied for (1) capital grants and (2) youth employment grants; and the grants (a) paid and (b) to be paid in each case.

The following groups in County Clare made application for capital grants under my Department's community, youth, recreational and employment programme: Clondegad GAA Club, Ballynacally; Irish Girl Guides, "Violet Hill", Broadford; Clarecastle Community Sports Complex; Cooraclare GAA Club; Crusheen GAA Club; Banner GAA Club, Ennis; Coláiste Mhuire, Ennis; Comhaltas Ceolteoirí Éireann, Ennis; Dysart Community Council, Toonagh, Ennis; Eire Óg GAA Club, Ennis; Ennis RFC; Ennistymon Parish and District Community Centre Project; Hamilton Park Development Council, Kilkishen, Ennis; Kilkishen Community Council; Kilkee Development Association; Smith O'Briens GAA Club, Killaloe; Millfield, Ennis, Co. Clare V.E.C.; Miltown Malbay Community Centre; Newmarket-on-Fergus GAA Club; Shannon Recreational and Community Centre Ltd.; Shannon Gaels GAA Club; Sixmilebridge Development Council; Ogonneloe GAA Club, Tuamgraney.

Three groups were nominated by my predecessor for capital grants under the programme. These were: Clarecastle Community & Sports Complex — Grant allocation £25,000; Ennistymon Parish & District Community Centre — Grant allocation £85,000; Miltown Malbay Community Centre — Grant allocation £25,000.

Projects in County Clare which were assisted under my Department's youth employment scheme since the scheme began in 1977 are shown hereunder.

The following grants have been approved, under the youth employment scheme, in County Clare, this year: Spanish Point Golf Club, £9,360; Inagh Hurling Club, £4,360; Scarriff GAA Club, £4,300; Hamilton Park Development Club, £9,880; Shannon Gaels GAA Club, £6,730; Clondegad GAA Club, £2,904; Newmarket-on-Fergus GFC, £4,360; Kilkee Development Association, £4,760.

In addition to the above, the following applications for assistance have been received from organisations in County Clare. These applications are being considered by my Department, at present. Feakle Hurling Club; East Clare Education and Recreation Centre, Scarriff; St. Senan's GFC, Kilkee; O'Curry GFC, Doonale; Kilmihil GFC; Clonlara Community Centre; Lisseycasey Ladies Association; Kildysart Hall Development Association; Parteen GFC; Crusheen GFC.
