asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the application of parents in the Lower Rosses area, Rosses Point, County Sligo, to have a school transport service established to Rosses Point national school; and if, in view of the very considerable hardship which the lack of this service entails and of the fact that the application has now been with his Department for a lengthy period, he will authorise the service immediately.

The question of establishing a school transport service from the Lower Rosses area to Rosses Point national school is under active examination in my Department. I hope to be in a position to convey a decision on the matter to the Reverend Chairman in the very near future.
