asked the Minister for Labour the estimated cost of his Department's advertising in all local and national newspapers for each of the past three years.
Written Answers. - Departmental Advertising.
484.
Expenditure by the Department of Labour on advertising in each of the past three years was as follows:
£ |
|
1979 |
61,650 |
1980 |
65,086 |

While the bulk of this expenditure was on advertising in national and local papers, a small amount was expended on advertising in journals, trade publications, etc. In addition, the figures for 1979 and 1980 include certain expenditure abroad, in relation to a skills recruitment campaign undertaken at the request of the Manpower Consultative Committee.
