When I assumed office the arrangements for the 1982 salmon fishing season had already been settled and it was not possible for me, therefore, to consider any amendment of the Control of Fishing for Salmon Order, 1980, for this year. I propose, however, to make a detailed review of the whole position well in advance of the 1983 season.
