Telephone service was provided for the person named a considerable time ago.

It had been expected that necessary engineering work to enable service to be provided would be completed earlier. Regrettably this was not possible because of the need to divert staff to more urgent work requiring priority attention.

A rebate of rental has been allowed.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will take immediate steps to ensure that the unsatisfactory nature of the telephone service being experienced by a person (details supplied) in County Dublin is improved forthwith; and if he will grant a rental rebate.

The subscriber is now satisfied with the service.

A rebate of rental was allowed for an interruption of service earlier this year.

Telephone service has been provided for the company named. Engineering work to enable additional lines to be provided is unlikely to be completed until next year.

Within about six months. It had been expected to meet this application earlier. Regrettably commissioning of a mobile exchange was delayed because of vandalism.

Arrangements have been made to have the installation specially examined. The Deputy will be advised of the results.

Service will be provided as soon as possible but it is unlikely that the necessary engineering work can be completed for about a year.
