asked the Minister for the Environment if he will review the decision of Dublin Corporation to build only 60 houses on a site of 13.9 acres at Finglas Road, Glasnevin, Dublin 11, having regard to the very high cost of the site (now valued at £824,000), the many thousands of families on the corporation's housing list and the current recession which is putting thousands of jobs at risk in the construction industry; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I understand that Dublin Corporation are at present reviewing their proposals for the erection of a housing scheme on the site at Finglas road, Glasnevin. Pending completion of this review and the submission by the corporation of firm proposals in the matter, I am not in a position to comment further.
