There are 64 cases awaiting payment. Seventeen of those will be paid when the normal processing procedures have been completed. The remaining 47 are development farmers and the grant in each case cannot be paid until a communication is received from ACOT regarding farm accounts.

It is a condition for the payment of grants to development farmers under the Farm Modernisation Scheme that an extract of farm accounts is submitted for each year of the farm development plan.
The applicant in this case is a development farmer. As the relevant farm accounts extract has not been received for 1980 and 1981 he has forfeited entitlement to the development rate of grant and to the special aids available to development farmers. Payment at the lower rate will be made shortly.
