Grant approval will issue in this case on receipt of evidence of planning permission for the proposed works. The Deputy was so informed on 18 October and 22 December 1982.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a grant will be paid in respect of a group water scheme (details supplied) in County Wexford which was completed a year ago.
My Department's local inspector has reported that work was not completed satisfactorily on this scheme until March 1983. He has now certified the payment of total State grants amounting to £2,780 and this sum will be paid into the group's bank account at an early date.

Under the Housing Regulations 1980 (as amended) the latest date for completion of work and receipt in the Department of a claim for payment of a grant was 30 June 1981. As these requirements were not complied with in this case, payment of the grant approved cannot be allowed.

A £1,000 grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and, that the other conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named.

An early inspection will be carried out in this case with a view to payment of the grant.
