Vol. 342 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grants Payments.

635.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant under the old scheme will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

The grant under the old scheme cannot be paid in this case as the house to which the application relates was not completed on or before 31 December 1978 as required by the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1979.

636.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a £1,000 new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny, as it is owed for some time and two registered letters have been forwarded to his Department to which replies have not been received.

A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and that the other conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

637.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to pay a £1,000 new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if he will issue approval for a mortgage subsidy.

When the person named notifies my Department that the house is complete and occupied, an inspection will be arranged with a view to payment of a grant. Certificate of provisional approval to a mortgage subsidy (No. 95350) has been issued.
