asked the Minister for Justice whether a Garda station will be provided at Gortnahoe village, Thurles, County Tipperary, in the near future, in view of the very high incidence of vandalism in the area; and, if so, when.

Limerick East): The precise arrangements made for the policing of particular areas are a matter for the Garda authorities, who state that they consider that the current arrangement whereby the Gortnahoe area is served from Urlingford station, supplemented by assistance from Killenaule station and the District Headquarters at Thurles, makes the best use of Garda resources and provides an adequate service. The Garda authorities also say that they have had no recent reports of vandalism in the Gortnahoe area.
