asked the Minister for Education the position regarding the very badly needed national school for Balscadden, County Dublin; and when work will commence on the project.

Revised sketch plans prepared by the chairman's architect for the proposed new national school at Balscadden, County Dublin, have been approved and the chairman has been so advised. When the local contribution towards the cost of the scheme has been agreed, a grant will be sanctioned. It is not possible at this stage to state when building work may commence.

asked the Minister for Education if she will give particulars of the projections for primary school requirements in the Jobstown area of Tallaght, County Dublin, indicating if a second primary school in that area will be required; if so, when; and the steps taken by her Department in this matter.

Sketch plans for phase III of the primary school development at Jobstown, Tallaght, County Dublin, which have been prepared by the chairman's architect have been submitted to my Department for approval.

The long-term accommodation requirements of the area are being kept under review to ensure that adequate school accommodation will be provided.
