There is a requirement under the employment incentive scheme that application for admission to the scheme must be made before any recruitment takes place under the scheme. This procedure was not complied with and accordingly the employer concerned did not qualify for premiums under the scheme.

asked the Minister for Labour if he will approve a grant under the youth employment scheme to enable a scheme to be completed (details supplied) in County Roscommon.
My Department are awaiting submission by the club concerned of an audited statement of expenditure on the works carried out under a youth employment scheme grant allocated in 1982. Until this statement is received it is not possible to allocate a further grant under the scheme to the club.
