When the person named supplies documentary evidence of land ownership as requested and is then registered as herd owner, her application for cattle headage grants under the 1982 disadvantaged areas schemes will be processed.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the number of farm modernisation applications waiting for sanction on 9 February in (a) County Monaghan and (b) County Cavan.
The numbers of applications under the farm modernisation scheme from farmers in Counties Monaghan and Cavan which were refused as a result of the suspension of grant aid for farm buildings and fixed assets and the termination of grant aid for mobile equipment with effect from 10 February 1983, were, respectively, 96 and 234.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a grant under the farm modernisation scheme will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan.
The person referred to is deceased and the farm is now operated by his son. The position regarding the application for grant-aid in his case was explained in my reply of 17 May 1983 to the Deputy.
