asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will consider an application from the Whitehall/Colmcille Hurling & Football Club to purchase a portion of land at Thorndale, Beaumont, Dublin 9, on which a brucellosis laboratory is located; if he is aware of the circumstances relating to the efforts of this club to purchase ground in their adjoining area in order to cater for 32 teams in hurling, football and camogie and the excellent work being done by the club particularly for young people in this suburban area; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department have already informed the club that none of the land remaining at Thorndale is at present available for disposal. If at a future date it is decided to sell any further portion of this land, the club will be informed accordingly and so given an opportunity to make a bid for it.
