Vol. 345 No. 1

Written Answers. - County Donegal National Schools.

467.

Mr. Coughlan

asked the Minister for Education the position in relation to proposed new national schools in County Donegal (details supplied).

The present position in relation to each of the national schools mentioned in the question is as follows:

1. Frosses: Revised sketch plans prepared by the school's authorities' architect have been received from the Commissioners of Public Works and are being examined at present.

2. Fintra: The Commissioners of Public Works have submitted alternative sketch schemes for either an extension to the existing school or a completely new school. These sketch schemes are being examined at present.

3. Barnesmore: The Commissioners of Public Works have recently reported to my Department regarding problems which have arisen in relation to the site of the proposed new school. It is hoped to have these matters resolved shortly so that the planning of the project can proceed.
