I take it that the statement to which the Deputy refers was one made by the Taoiseach in Listowel on 22 July 1983. On that occasion, what the Taoiseach stated was that "the company expect to commence production in October". I understand that the company is awaiting installation of necessary production equipment and that electrical contractors are being engaged for this purpose.
The Deputy will appreciate that, while an indication may be given as to a company's intentions and expectations, decisions in matters of this kind are by the management of the company.
