Vol. 345 No. 3

Written Answers. - Caherciveen (Kerry) Advance Factory.

316.

asked the Minister for Health if he will allocate money to the Southern Health Board for the provision of an industry to be provided by the Rehabilitation Institute in an advance factory in Caherciveen, County Kerry, which was fully approved by the Southern Health Board at a recent meeting; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There are no funds at my disposal from which money could be allocated for this purpose. While the Southern Health Board have approved of the development in principle they have also indicated to the interests concerned that they are not in a position at present to meet the consequential revenue costs. The health board will be reviewing the position in the context of their allocation for next year.
