No agency benefits, as such, from the allocations made for implementing the special border areas programme.
Allocations are made to Bord Fáilte, the IDA, Údarás na Gaeltachta and Córas Tráchtála and are used for the purpose of distributing grants for the development of tourism accommodation, for the promotion of tourism and the creation of tourist related amenities, for the development of craft industries and for the provision of marketing aids for small and medium sized industries.
