There is no record in my Department of an application for a house improvement grant from a person of this name and address in respect of either of the houses mentioned.

asked the Minister for the Environment when it is proposed to carry out a final inspection for a £1,000 grant which was requested last July by a person (details supplied) in County Galway.
The file in this case is with the inspector for investigation and report with a view to the allocation and payment of a new house grant. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for the Environment when the first instalment of a mortgage subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal.
The first instalment of the mortgage subsidy will not be paid until the house has been certified as completed to my Department's standards, occupied by the applicant and at least 12 months have elapsed from the date of execution of the mortgage deed.
This application was received in my Department on 15 August 1983 and in common with all applications received on or after 21 October 1982 qualifies for subsidy over a five-year period.
