The total number of TB reactor cattle slaughtered in registered meat export premises in each of the past three years is as follows: 1980, 26,581; 1981, 29,755; 1982, 26,821. It is estimated that about 28,000 reactors will be slaughtered this year.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the name and location of each outlet in the country licensed to slaughter bovine TB reactors; and the estimated number of such reactors slaughtered in each outlet in the past three years.
Only registered beef export premises (which are under the full-time supervision of my Department's veterinary inspectors) are approved for the slaughter of TB reactors. A list of such premises appears hereunder.
Statistics are not available as to the number of TB reactors slaughtered at individual export premises in any year.
