I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer's liability for the year 1982-83 has been reviewed by the inspector of taxes and an overpayment has arisen. A cheque in settlement will be issued at an early date.
The inspector is unable to determine the taxpayer's income tax position for the current year, 1983-84, until full details of the income arising are supplied. The inspector wrote to the taxpayer for the necessary particulars on 29 September and again on 11 October but there has been no response.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that, on 21 October 1983, the taxpayer requested the inspector of taxes to review his liability for the year 1982-83. The review has been carried out and an overpayment arose. A cheque in settlement will be issued shortly.
