I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a cheque in settlement of the refund due in this case was issued to the taxpayer on 4 November, 1983. The delay in making the repayment was due to difficulty in confirming details of the taxpayer's pay and tax deducted in respect of two previous employments during the year 1982-83.
