The increases under the Oireachtas (Allowances to Members) and Ministerial, Parliamentary and Judicial Offices (Amendment) Act, 1983, will be applied to the Irish members of the European Parliament, without retrospection, from 1 September 1983. The annual allowance payable to each member of the European Parliament is equal to the amount of the annual allowance payable to each TD.
