Bord Gáis Éireann have completed their route investigations and have recommended a potential route for a natural gas pipeline to Waterford City. I am awaiting a comprehensive feasibility study on the distribution of gas in Waterford which is being prepared on behalf of the gas company.
I consider that it would be inappropriate, and possibly prejudicial, if I were to publish details of the likely pipeline route before being satisfied that acceptable technical and financial plans have been developed to distribute natural gas in Waterford.
