38.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the grants available under the western development programme for division of lands, including commonage, fencing, making roads, etc.

Under the programme for western developments grants of 70 per cent of the estimated cost are available for fencing, reclamation, and surface treatment of commonages which are subdivided. Grants of 80 per cent of estimated cost are available for the provision of necessary roadways associated with the lands being improved.
