Over the past few months technical assistance for group purchases of land has been sought in 18 cases, the counties involved being Galway (7), Clare (3), Sligo (3), Mayo (3), Limerick (2). Land Commission consent is not needed for group purchases, which, of course, I am very anxious to encourage.
