Approval to proceed with an advance section of Adare sewerage scheme issued to the local authority on the 19 December 1983. The advance section involves the laying of foul and surface water sewers through the village of Adare in conjunction with the laying of a duct for telephone cables by the Department of Posts and Telegraphs. Contract documents for the remainder of the scheme are under examination in my Department. It is not possible to say when a decision on these documents will issue to the local authority.
