asked the Minister for the Environment the date he received proposals for the provision of a pedestrian crossing at Bohermore, Galway; and the reason for the delay in granting approval.
Written Answers. - Bohermore (Galway) Pedestrian Crossing.
323.
As already pointed out to the Deputy in reply to Question No. 299 put down by him on 30 November 1983 in relation to proposals for a pedestrian crossing at Oranmore, the provision of a pedestrian crossing is a matter for the road authority concerned, and the question of approval by my Department does not arise.
I understand, however, that Galway Corporation propose to provide a light-controlled pedestrian crossing at the entrance to Coolpark Estate, Bohermore, and are, at present, awaiting delivery of the necessary equipment for the installation.
