Vol. 347 No. 9

Written Answers. - Limerick School Appointment.

428.

asked the Minister for Education if she will appoint a remedial teacher to Scoil Íosagáin na mBráithre, Sexton Street, Limerick, in view of the fact that they have sufficient pupils to warrant an extra remedial teacher as there is a large number of pupils who are not receiving remedial help at present.

Scoil Íosagáin na mBráithre, Sexton Street, Limerick, at present has the services of one full-time and one shared remedial teaching post. The applications of schools for these posts are processed by my Department and posts are allocated to the schools in accordance with a priority of need. Careful consideration of the application of Scoil Íosagáin na mBráithre, Sexton Street, did not place it sufficiently high in this priority to warrant an extra remedial teaching post being allocated.
