Consideration is at present being given to the provision of grant assistance this year for the improvement of a number of fishery harbours including Port Inver. Until such time as it has been assessed how much of the allocation for harbour works in 1984 will be required to meet expenditure on works in hand on 31 December 1983 a final decision cannot be reached in the matter. This assessment is at present in hand in consultation with the Officer of Public Works.
