I understand that the IDA are prepared to consider grant assistance in respect of sausage making only where the project is totally export-oriented. I also understand that, in this instance, an application for grant assistance was considered in May 1983 and the promoter was advised that his project did not satisfy the criteria for grant aid. A representative of the IDA has already met the promoter in connection with the decision not to provide grant assistance.
