asked the Minister for the Environment the group water schemes completed in County Monaghan eligible for grants under the western package scheme; the amount of money paid to each scheme to date; and the percentage of the total cost of the scheme that the Department will pay to each group.
Written Answers. - Group Water Schemes.
Four group water schemes in County Monaghan have been allocated grants at the higher rate applicable to schemes which qualify for assistance under the FEOGA Western Package. Work is virtually complete on each scheme and the final instalment of grants will be paid as soon as the number of eligible domestic water supplies in each scheme has been established. The information sought in respect of each scheme is as follows:

asked the Minister for the Environment the amount allocated by the EEC under the western package scheme for group water schemes; the amount paid to date; and if he is satisfied that all the allocation will be expended.
£11.8 million has been allocated in respect of group water schemes under the Western Package (EEC Regulation 1820/80). At 31 December 1983, £5,235,956 had been paid to groups under this regulation. Group water schemes in the western region which commence on or before 30 June 1985 are eligible for aid under the regulation and present indications are that the total allocation will be expended.
