Limerick East): As I stated in reply to a parliamentary question on 21 June 1983 (Dáil Official Report, Volume 343, No. 10, column 2350) various proposals have been made for the amendment of the Gaming and Lotteries Act, 1956 and I propose to consider the law in the matter. I could not, in the context of parliamentary questions, indicate what proposals I may bring forward for specific changes in the law but no doubt, if the changes which I do propose do not meet with the Deputy's agreement he will have the opportunity of putting down amendments.
