Vol. 348 No. 6

Written Answers. - Tax Payment.

403.

asked the Minister for Finance when a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary who is paying emergency rate tax at present can commence paying tax at a regular rate.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer informed the inspector of his present employment on 13 February 1984 and on 22 February arrangements were made for deduction of tax on a non-cumulative basis until particulars of any previous earnings and tax were established. This matter has now been disposed of and a cumulative certificate of tax-free allowances will be issued. Any tax over-deducted since 6 April last will be refunded by the employer on foot of this certificate.
