I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a claim for a refund and full supporting documentation became available on 7 December 1983. A cheque in settlement of overpaid tax was issued on 27 February 1984.

asked the Minister for Finance if a person (details supplied) in County Wexford is entitled to a tax rebate for the years 1979-1980 or 1980-1981; and when she will be paid.
I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer applied for a repayment of income tax for the years 1979-80 and 1980-81 on 10 June 1981. The documentation submitted was inadequate and the inspector of taxes wrote on 25 August 1981 for further particulars necessary to process the claim. To date the taxpayer has not responded and the inspector will now write to her again in the matter.
