Vol. 348 No. 7

Written Answers. - County Kilkenny School.

373.

asked the Minister for Finance when a grant for improvements to a school (details supplied) in County Kilkenny will be paid.

The Office of Public Works have made a report to the Department of Education on the provision of play space and paving at Stoneyford national school, County Kilkenny by the Manager of the school. The question of the sanction of a grant in respect of the cost of the works is for the Department of Education and a decision is awaited from that Department.

The manager of the school installed oil fired central heating and the bulk of the grant has been paid. When the system was inspected a number of defects came to notice and a small balance of grant is being held in respect of these. It will be necessary to carry out another inspection to confirm that all defects have been made good before the balance of grant can be paid.
