It is hoped to have the balance—about 36 hectares—of this estate divided later this year. The estate was acquired in 1954 and the balance referred to had been until recently, leased to An Foras Talúntais and to a local agency.
The claim of all local smallholders will be fully considered when the proposals for the division of the lands are being finalised.
