Killarney UDC submitted a proposal to my Department in January 1984, under their 1984 small schemes programme, for a scheme to relieve overloading of an existing nine inch sewer line by laying a new 15 inch sewer from manhole F18 to an existing 36 inch sewer line on Countess Road. The council will be informed of its 1984 small schemes allocation shortly and it will then be a matter for the council to decide which schemes to carry out in 1984.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will expedite payment of a £1,000 new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and that all the conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.
